Today was as close ordsprog

en Today was as close as I'm going to get to a regular season game in spring training. It was in front of a crowd that I enjoy playing in front of.

en (Yesterday) was as close as I'm going to get to a regular-season game -- pitching against my old team and pitching in front of a crowd you like pitching in front of. It's just funny, man. You look across the field and see all the guys you've been playing with the last few years. It's like playing against your neighbor in Little League or something. It's hard to keep a straight face.

en Spring training is totally different from the regular season. Spring training, you're there to get into shape and to get ready. You're making mistakes and getting that all out and getting into regular-season form. I think we've played real good defense [the last two weeks].

en Whether it is your home crowd or an away crowd, it is fun playing in front of a lot of people. They will remember that Kentucky game and it will be something that they will use in a very positive way at Tennessee.

en I'm really proud of these guys to win the last three games [of this series] and finish 6-2. I know they really enjoy coming here and playing on this field in front of this crowd.

en Forget about everything that happened in spring training. Spring training is spring training. Now it's the regular season.

en Playing in front of 200 people is a lot different than playing in front of a thousand. It takes you to another level of playing. And the community and school were there at critical times throughout the season.

en It's a different ball game when the season starts. It's for real, and it counts. The guys in spring training don't feel the same rush as they do during the regular season.

en There are so many memories from that year. Playing the regional in San Antonio was one of the craziest environments I've ever been in. It was an unbelievable situation. Then walking on the court in front of 50,000 people at the Final Four was something else. I've never been in front of a crowd that big.

en In that situation, you just try to get the guy on third home. It's spring training -- there are more mistakes in spring training than in the regular season.

en I've never played in front of this many people before. It's a great feeling to get the crowd behind you. We don't get that in the regular season. It's really great.

en It's going to be tough; they'll have their crowd behind them. The players have to enjoy the atmosphere, take it and use it to their own benefit. We'd love to be playing in front of rip-roaring crowds every week and we get the chance now, so let's see how we deal with it.

en There has been a lot of work in the front office to get ready for the season. We're anxious to get going. Before you know it, we'll be having our staff meeting and pitchers and catchers will be reporting to Spring Training.

en I thought we played a heck of a game up front and we talked about that. Some of these guys went to the freshman game. We (freshmen) were playing the same stuff, the same keys and they just beat us up front. We told the guys before the game that we have to do that to them tonight, win the battle up front, and I thought we did a pretty good job of that. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others.

en It varies. Ideally, it should come down to the last week of spring training. Now it's more like a regular-season game in how things would be.
