en I'm not going to lie and say no. It definitely brought out the things I need to work on, my flaws. Hopefully, I'll be ready to step up during the tournament. I was thinking too much. That may have been my problem.

en We peaked early and now we've hit a slump. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. I'm hoping to use this tournament to work through some things and try and find a little chemistry again. I've seen tournaments in the past that brought a re-emergence to teams and they go on and do great things.

en I take it we have a lot of work ahead of us. The sign of a good team is when you do not play your best ... and get the win. A lot of our flaws were shown tonight, and we need to step it up.

en Your brain is capable of juggling lots of facts and possibilities at the same time when you let it work without specifically thinking about the decision. But when you are specifically thinking about a problem, your brain isn't able to weigh up as much information. I sit on things and rely on my gut.

en I'm not worried. Every time we've lost, we've learned. Now we have several days to really work on some of the things we need to, to get ready for the NCAA tournament.

en I had a feeling we could come in and win this tournament; we were ready to win and get things going again. We still need to work on our killer instinct because we kept letting them hang in the game.

en The first step is critical because you can't think about it. It is important because that means I'm not ready if I was thinking about it. You have to be ready.

en Every time you go out on the ice, there are slight flaws. You can always think of something you should have done better. These are the things you must work on.

en I don't think you're ever allowed to have a bad day as far as getting ready-wise. (Wednesday) was not a step backwards. After they just scored a couple of runs, you think, 'Let's just get our work in, let's keep the ball down. Let's do some things.' It's my first time handling adversity. You can't have everything rosy for you. You need to see how you handle that, and (Wednesday) was a very step forward in handling a little bit of adversity.

en They're a good team. They're complete. They're like us. They don't have a lot of flaws, and neither do we. So it's going to be a tight game. They're No. 3 in the nation, and we need to prepare ourselves and be ready for them. I know that they're going to be ready for us.

en I just don't think we came ready to play against Russell. It's tough when you host a tournament and you have to make sure things go smoothly. It's tough on the kids because they do a lot of the work.

en I'm sure on Thursday I'll be thinking about things, ... But at the same time, I'll be thinking about Thursday's game, too. Hockey is a big part of my life. It's brought people in my family a lot of joy.

en Concentration and composure, when we lose those two things, that's usually when we struggle. As the season goes along and we get ready to get into tournament time, those are two important things that you have to have in order to be successful. Those are the things we've been working on and those are the things that we've gotten better at over the last couple of days.

en I felt someone was revealing hard truths about themselves, revealing uneasy things about themselves, which I always find really generous, ... It makes my life easier when people say, 'Hey! I'm not perfect,' or, 'Hey! I've got flaws.' And he did it with such a sense of humor and such compassion for all those flaws, he was making us all a cushion to trip over and fall on, you know?

en Sometimes bad things can bring on good things. This brought about a whole era of safety. It took something dramatic before they started thinking and looking out of the box.
