I thought it was very significant for us as a team to know we have answers outside of handing the ball to Brian Calhoun 40 times.

You turn on the film and the No. 1 player you're going to game-plan around is Brian Calhoun. He's the No. 1 player that we game-plan around (offensively). So, conversely, as a defensive coach, you're going to spend a lot of energy in trying to contain, throttle, and frustrate Calhoun, while forcing other players to beat you. If I'm coaching against us, the first thing I'm going to do is figure out a way to contain Brian because he can change a game, and change it fast.

Brian Snider is a veteran player and he has been here before. Brian hit a couple of big shots against us to get them going. Hopefully, when my team gets older we'll be able to do the same thing. We lost because the better team won. Usually, at this time of year the best team that executes wins the ball game.

We live in tough times, and Canadians have some tough questions for government. They want clear answers. They are well beyond the glib, glad-handing of the past.

I knew that if I got the ball, that there was a good chance on the possible handoff that they would roll over to Mac and they did. It was as good of a look as I could have asked for. If Mac is open, give him the ball, obviously. As soon as I even thought about handing him the ball, they both took off. It was an easy read, but I just missed the shot.

It all starts on the mound and Dalton came out and gave us a great effort today and we were fortunate to win that one. And I thought Brian came in and was rocky at times, but got us deep into the ball game and gave us a chance to win.

Brian Calhoun is definitely one of the best running backs we have ever faced. We have to shut the run down first, no doubt about it. He's an incredible athlete.

When you have a team like we have right now, it's very important the person that you're handing the team over to is qualified and is going to have your respect from day one. I'm very comfortable, Mr. D (owner William Davidson) is very comfortable, we're all very, very comfortable handing the keys to this team over to Flip. We know he's up for the challenge.

I gained a lot of respect for Brian Calhoun today. He's one tough guy. He keeps coming. He's proved to have incredible endurance and he doesn't fumble the football.

I'd probably be about third or fourth team. I couldn't throw the ball that well. I did a good job of handing it off in Alabama's offense.

There were several times when I thought we were about to make a run. But every time we did, they had answers.

Ryan's been great. I still want him to be more aggressive on the post. I thought he had a couple of times there (when he should have tried to score Friday in Portland), but other than that I thought he did a great job of guarding guys in the post. He is quick to react to the ball. There were times I felt he was reacting to the ball before it hit the rim.

Brian doesn't score 40 without those guys doing what they did tonight. We did a great job of passing the ball, and Brian did a great job of moving without the ball. He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured.
