It's difficult. I'll be ordsprog

en It's difficult. I'll be honest with you. I feel like we left a lot of things out on the field as an offense, but all you can do is finish the best you can. The team didn't quit. We gave it a shot and put a lot of pressure on the other teams.

en We ran a hurry up offense and we had to get a TD but we left it on the 10-yard line, ... It was 7-0 at halftime so it was anybody's game at that time. We just needed to do the things we were capable of. We need to do some growing up on the field. We are a young team and I challenged them to grow up on the field. We did some things better.

en I can't believe it. To lose (a race) that close, I don't what to feel, to be honest right now. Should I be happy? Should I be sad? I don't know. It's a weird feeling to finish second in this kind of situation, so close. We got ourselves back a little bit into the championship, and moved up into fifth. Let's keep moving. We gave it all we had, but we just couldn't push ahead on the final lap. Being realistic, Dan (Wheldon) is probably going to win the championship, but it would be a great goal to have two Marlboro Team Penske cars finish in the top five in points.

en I think we're getting the attitude to where when we get on the field, we're expecting to win. Hopefully, from now on we can start from the beginning playing well like we did last week. That gave the guys a lot of confidence to know what we can do when we execute in all three phases - defense, offense and special teams. But we can't rest on that and look ahead. We have a lot of football left. We're just going to take it one game at a time.

en The teams are matched up pretty well. If anything, we need to pick it up a step in our ruthlessness on the field. We need to finish things off. We may just get a bit tense, and that comes down to inexperience, playing the best team in the world. I think 1-0 down is disappointing, but it hasn't hurt us and in a lot of ways, I'm very positive about us. As captain, I feel we're very close to hitting the mark ...and we're going to come back hard in Sydney.

en It doesn't feel as good (playing the first day) as we were the only team left that had never played on Thursday. I'm disappointed that we didn't finish higher but I understand how good the league is and somebody had to finish sixth or seventh.

en My team didn't quit. They gave it everything they had. We did a lot of nice things in the last three quarters. That is something we can build on. I have a good feeling about this team. If we put in the work then we should be able to win a lot of games. We have plenty of time to turn this season around. We are not discouraged at all.

en The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

en A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. I feel like we left a lot of points out on the field, but to be honest, I feel like a broken record saying that. I know I felt the same way last year.

en I still remember Marcus running down the left sideline to beat us one time at Soldier Field, ... Having him on the No. 1 offense in the NFL [in 2003] gives us an opportunity to really stretch the field and take pressure off of Randy.

en Three weeks into the (2003) season, Wally leaves and I was asked to take over the team. I was so excited, I can't tell you how happy it made me feel...finally but it was very tough. I inherited Wally's team, not mine. He did the recruiting. That was his team. It was a difficult transition. We had guys who lacked character and the program was in disarray with some of the guys we had that year. I had to work with that team and we went 5-11 on the season. In 2004, Will gave me my job back and I built a team. My first priority was to build a coaching staff. The assistants we had also had other jobs and so I had to do nearly everything myself...breaking down film, run both offense, defense, and special teams. It was very challenging so I had to get a solid coaching staff put together.

en I'm bitter about our finish, but our team responded the best it could and I'm proud of its effort. There were some tears shed at the end of the meet, but I didn't want them to feel sorry because they went out there and gave their all.

en Hopefully, he feels at a level that he is able to finish the spring in left. If he can get out there in left field, it means we have a deeper team with more options.

en We felt that if we could continue to pressure the ball and deny the leads, then we could force them to start their offense two to three feet out from where they're used to setting up their offense. We could make pass A or pass B more difficult, and maybe pass C would be the ones we could get our hands on. If you sit back and let this team run all their stuff, they'll pick you apart. We had no choice but to pressure them as much as we could.
