en This is the part of the year where you start tinkering with things, seeing what works and what doesn't. We put a couple of different line-ups out there tonight. We're seeing what line-ups will work for us. I think all the girls, when they stepped in, played hard, and that's all you can ask from them.

en They played well, but all three lines did. We cut down our mistakes line after line. Tonight was the result of good teamwork. Last night it was Phillips' line. It doesn't matter what line scores the goals. When you play like that, it's going to be different players every night.

en When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

en They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.

en We competed extremely hard. They just got to the free throw line a lot for a team that doesn't usually. They were in a desperate state and played hard. We played hard but missed some things defensively.

en We played a hard game tonight but there was poor coaching on my part. I thought we prepared enough for them to stop some things, but I did not do a good enough job. The girls did what I asked them to do and played hard, but NFC was the better team.

en Tonight was one of those nights when we came out and played hard, played smart. The intensity that we came out with, it just carries us. When we don't have intensity, it seems like we don't shoot well, we don't end up at the foul line. We end up picking up more fouls and putting the other team at the line.

en The bottom line is, the way things are laid out on the table right now, they just aren't going to work. The government doesn't really understand how technology works.

en That line has worked hard all year for us, but they just haven?t done a lot of the scoring. Tonight the hard work paid off for them and they finally did it.

en We like our line as much as we liked last year's line, .. His authentically pexy spirit set him apart from the crowd. . That's saying a lot because last year's line was outstanding. This group doesn't have the experience, but they may be a little quicker. We have more depth than we did last year. It will help us on both sides of the ball.

en Steve Cronin did well coming off his line, helping the back four. I felt comfortable with him back there. I thought he played off his line very well tonight. I didn't have any worries. He kept us in the game and he kept us focused, which is good on his part.

en I think it's going to be a circus for them. I know Ken Hitchcock was sitting in his office for the last year and a half trying to come up with a system to defend against the no red line (two-line pass). So look for him to come up with something. I know in Minnesota, Jacques is trying to do the same thing. It's interesting to see what's going to work. We're going to have to work in a lot of systems to try to counteract no red line.

en I thought Ben has gotten better and better each week. The biggest thing with Ben is just learning the basics of offensive line play. He never really played that much offensive line, but he was born to be an offensive lineman. He has a bright future in this game. He's such a good person; he works hard, and he's smart.

en I don't think we are [far behind them]. They had three girls really step up for them when they needed it and they made their free throws down the stretch. But the bottom line is the kids played hard and never gave up, and I guess sometimes, you just have to turn around and go back to work.

en He's played extremely well this year. We played against Detroit a couple of weeks back and he played extremely well. Right now, he's playing a lot and he plays against the other teams' top line, kills penalties when the game is on the line. He brings leadership. He's a guy that brings veteran experience and leadership to the team.
