[D'Amico] is an outstanding player, but 28 free throws? I thought I was looking at Jordan. He can break any defense down off the dribble.

The difference at that point was really Sam McMahon. We weren't getting anything offensively, and he attacked off the dribble and made those free throws to close the gap. After that our defense took over.

I thought we did a great job on him. All he shot was a lot of free throws. He's a great player, but we took him out of his game for the most part except for the free throws. I guess he did a good job of getting in there and drawing the fouls.

I thought once we got it to 32-30, we were OK. We switched to a little bit of a zone to try to take away some of their dribble penetration. To their credit they stepped up and hit those outside jumpers, which put us into a position where we had to foul. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. They converted their free throws.

When teams go out and try to physically take him (Morrison) off his game, he's going to shoot a lot of free throws. People say the same thing about Duke. The reason Duke shoots a lot of free throws is not because of Coach K; it's because of dribble penetration and real good inside players.

I thought it was huge. One, it allowed us to give Sean a break from playing point and trying to score. Two, he got us some fast break points. And he stepped up and got fouled and made some big free throws.

Free throws were outstanding for us tonight. We talk every day in practice how free throws can win and lose games for you.

We had the game won and all of a sudden they shoot two free throws. You foul out your whole team and you're fighting on fumes after a nine-day road trip. For us to just hang around at that point was outstanding. For them to just be shooting free throws out of thin air, that killed us.

We played better defense against them, but we just fouled them too much. Their two big guys went to the line for 30 free throws. The initial defense was good, but you can't foul them like that, and they hit a pretty good percentage of their free throws.

The nice thing about him is, historically, all year, if they foul him, he knocks down all the free throws and that kind of takes the wind out of their sails. He's capable of doing that. I just thought he got a lot of penetration. I thought he played pretty smart tonight. He had a ton of free throws, which really helped.

We have to be really consistent and do the fundamental things well, like play good defense, rebound and shoot free throws. We have to be able to make our free throws.

She's hit game-winning free throws for us all year. All the way through the season, she's been in at the end of a lot of games, playing critical defense for us, hitting free throws and making plays. She's an amazing talent.

We were able to maintain the fast break for the entire game. In the final quarter our defense stepped up, and we did a superb job of shooting free throws.

I thought they played very good defense on us. They hit their free throws very well, especially in the first half.

We were going to try to cut it to 10 in the fourth. I thought we had the shots to do it, but we missed a lot of easy buckets. Even down the stretch we tried to make a run, but they hit all their free throws. If they're hitting their free throws, there's not much you can do about it.
