Team-wise, that hurts. If we can get a couple kids through the back door and maybe get a couple pins, we're still battling, but it's going to be tough.

Obviously, it hurts a lot. He's battling to get past that. It's going to be tough the first couple of practices to get used to having a hurt finger. He's not going to give up. He's always playing hard. Whether that thing is falling off, he'll still play, even if he has to tape it on.

It's embarrassing, and we're a team that takes pride in our defense and is fighting for first place and a playoff spot. To come in with a performance like that, especially after battling back and scoring late in the first and tying it up, and battling back a couple times in the second, all in all is definitely a low point in the season.

The kids have been battling all year. We just need to have a couple of the younger kids step up. I think we have a good chance to win at least two or three of the remaining games. Hopefully, we can have a strong finish to a pretty tough season.

Our kids showed a lot of poise tonight, because Mt. Pleasant is a very scrappy team, they're relentless. We got up on them, and got lazy. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. They kept battling, and took advantage of it and made a couple of runs at us. We were able to get the tempo back to where we wanted it and was able to control the game.

In the third quarter, we came out and had a couple turnovers and a couple bad passes. Pretty soon, we were down 10. We were battling back and forth after that.

In every tournament you always want one or two matches back, and this is no different, but I'm really happy for the team. I feel sad for a couple of guys because we had a couple of tough breaks, but all in all it went pretty well.

We put ourselves in a position (to win). A couple of shots go in, we get a couple more (defensive) stops and we win a game. I'm proud of our kids for battling, but we're not a program that just wants to battle (with) people. We want to beat people.

It was tough and these kids didn't give up. We hit a couple shots and some foul shots, got a couple steals and a couple charges. They laid it on the line.

We do have closure, even though it hurts. It's really tough when your dreams are shattered. . . . Instead of your son walking back through the door, you get a knock on the door from the state and local police.

We had control, but we missed a couple shots, they made a couple, a couple of calls didn't go our way and they got back in it. They won it with a good shot from Paul Pierce. Tough shot.

Chauncey Billups

We kept our turnovers down and we rebounded as a team. We kept battling when at any time we could have just tanked it because we went down big a couple of times. But our guys kept fighting back.

We've picked up a couple kids that went out for track last year, and they should help us. We have a time trial before each meet to get our top seven spots and that keeps the door open for anybody on the team to step up. We have a good-sized team and they have really been pushing each other.

Cal is going to be tough. We are looking for some people to step up against the competition and break out. Both Cal and us are battling with some injuries. We played them tough the first time around for most of the game and then had a couple errors get us in the hole.

They strung together a couple of hits and we made some mental mistakes and a couple of errors. It was tough to come back from that.
