With Nigerian problems, uncertainty about the Iran nuclear program before the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) meeting next week, and the overhang of the Saudi attack and an OPEC meeting on the 8th, we are in for a lot of volatility in prices.

OPEC would like to see lower prices and is doing what it can. The OPEC ministers left open the prospect of a rollback in quotas at the March meeting.

The oil markets appears very nervous about the Iranian situation. Iran's production is essential for meeting world demand. There is not enough excess capacity within OPEC to make up for the lost supply if Iran were to stop selling oil.

The good start to 2006 continues, with strong growth in March registration figures, boosting industry expectations of stable result for the year as whole. 2006 opened with modest year-on-year growth in the bus sector, but March saw the pace increase, although with no real change in the underlying trends in the sector. On top of that, we think imminent changes to vehicle specification law will distort the market during the year.
