en The conditions were awesome this year because Vail opened to full-on winter skiing. We were riding in the trees on the first day. They were filled in pretty quickly and that's rare.

en We go to various place around the country, but in the past, we've been really lucky in Vail. There's really good looking people hanging out in Vail, people with good jobs and a nice lifestyle. We hope to get lucky again this year.

en My dad is a skiing instructor, so I got into skiing early. It's hard to get as much running as I should with the skiing. But it's a good break.

en He's going out and when he is skiing, he's skiing really well. He obviously hasn't put a race together.... Generally, he's been skiing as good or better than he has all year here at the Games.

en Downhill skiing is more like an adrenaline rush, it's more about having fun. This is more about a workout. I wouldn't do this just for fun. It's more gratifying and rewarding than fun. I feel tired. I feel like I did a lot of work. It's not fun, but it's good to do. Fun is jumping off cliffs, skiing powder. This is more about being fit and being outdoors.

en You have all the facilities and none of the yard work. There are some really neat places down here and we are just trying to attract people to try and revive some of these places.

en Based on these announcements, we do not believe that Vail is on the selling block. However, we are confident that Mr. Katz, with his deep knowledge of Vail and extensive private equity real estate background, will actively work to maximize shareholder value through balance sheet management, cost cutting (cheaper Denver office space for one), and through the continued monetization of the company's valuable real estate assets.
