I thought we had improved a whole lot and were coming together as a team (before the loss to South Carolina). I was really seeing how effective we could be.

We had a very disappointing loss (to South Carolina) and it will be very interesting to see how our team handles it. In this league, you don't have time to mourn a loss.

I thought it was a good event. I'm not displeased. I thought that we had a pretty decent crowd. Obviously it wasn't as large as South Carolina State. But hopefully the city of Columbia and the people of South Carolina will see that this is a very viable game, and they'll decide they will come out and support these young people. After the South Carolina game I thought we had a chance to have a really special team. I thought we had a chance to really leapfrog forward.

You wouldn't have thought it would have spread out quite this much, as far as just how few drivers are from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. And I see that developing. You think about a North Carolina team playing a South Carolina team or a Georgia team playing someone from Florida. That would draw a big crowd and a lot of TV exposure.

We want to be sure people in South Carolina are paying attention to the storm. We wouldn't want anyone in South Carolina to be caught off guard.

Particularly on the Republican side, South Carolina is key. I don't think a presidential hopeful can expect to be nominated without winning South Carolina.

I know we've got a lot of South Carolina historians around here, but when was the last time South Carolina was tied at halftime and beat the opponent 34-6 in the second half? ... Who knows?

I thought there were times (against South Carolina) when guys created off the dribble and didn't find him. I thought he should have gotten up 10 or 11 shots. There was three or four or five times when our guys missed him. Our team has got to do a better job of recognizing when he's open and getting him the basketball.

Going into the Georgia game, there was a serious weakness, and that was the offense, so we did some things to, obviously, become more functional. FSU, we tried to get guys healthy and we can also work on our weaknesses, and we had a lot of discussion about how to prepare for games, because I really felt we failed as coaches and the leadership of our team did a poor job because the week before (a loss to South Carolina) was a bad deal.

They're probably going to do that every game now. That's what happened (in an 83-61 loss) at South Carolina. I have to look for my teammates better and get the ball to the open man.
