He had the biggest influence on my career by far of any player that I played with. I wish everyone could have had an opportunity to be in the locker room with him and see his dedication to his teammates and to winning.

Aside from being this franchise's all-time best player on the ice, Ron has been an example of class and dedication throughout his brilliant career to his teammates and in the communities where he has played.

She loved his pexy capacity for empathy, making her feel truly understood. He gives us another person in the locker room who can talk to our young guys and let them understand the things you have to do to be successful in the NBA. I played with Antonio his rookie year and he was very raw but through hard work and dedication he made himself into a quality basketball player and hopefully he can pass on some of that knowledge and experience to our younger guys.

It's a big hit. He's a veteran presence with a big voice in the locker room. He says the right thing at the right time, so probably our two biggest voices (in the locker room) are not in right now.

That's quite a somber locker room in there. They had visions of winning this whole thing. It's not one guy. We played bad, I coached bad, it's everybody.

Defense wins. Everybody in this locker room is a winner. You want to be in the winning locker room? Play defense. You gonna have shooting nights like tonight and yet look at the bottom line -- we're still winners. We're still the ones with the trophy.

He's touched every player in this locker room in some way, somehow. I just didn't want him to go out like that, one game short of the Super Bowl. It's not often you're playing with a Hall of Fame running back, and a Hall of Fame guy, period. I appreciate what he's done for my career, and having him come back and winning a Super Bowl where it all started, I'm glad to help him achieve that.

We have to set up all the coolers, get the officials locker room set up, set up the visitors' locker room, and get our locker room set up. Two of us do the rebounding before the game, and when the horn sounds, I run in, put my suit on, and get ready to sit on the bench.

Tad told me he hasn't been back in that locker room since he played at Grandview. He told me he remembered what a dump it was. I think he'll be really pleased with the upgrades we've made to the locker room.

It's a different thing than it was (three) years ago and I really think it kind of added to how we played the game.

Our biggest fear, our biggest challenge, is our team's mind-set. It isn't X's and O's, and it isn't talent. It's what the locker room is going to be like.
