I think this was definitely our worst loss of the season. It's very bitter to me simply for one reason that we couldn't come into the game focused because the other team had their best player out.

I thought we were sloppy offensively the whole game and we weren't focused defensively. I thought from top to bottom it was from every individual, our worst game of the year.

This team is very focused right now. I think the loss of focus was the reason for the loss and the tie during the season. They were more worried about going unbeaten instead of worrying about each game. But that's certainly not the case now.

This was probably our worst game this season. But DePaul is a very good team and they're the No. 3 seed for a reason.

Devon is a very versatile player. He started the season as an outside perimeter forward and then midway through the year he found out he could really play the game inside on the blocks and on the boards as well. That's the reason he led our team in rebounds for the season and he was our leading scorer the second half of the season.

I continue to tell my wife, you can't judge a season or a career on one or two games. For whatever reason, everybody ran with that and said maybe we're a soft team. We're not a soft team at all. You can't manufacture toughness. If that wasn't in us, we couldn't have won that game today if we weren't a tough team.

For some reason, we couldn't stop Horn, especially in their transition game. We couldn't stop the bleeding. It was our worst game on defense when it comes to the transition game.

The kids really played well. They were focused from the start. We couldn't have won the game without any one player out there.

Everyone thinks that they're the reason why you lost. I think that when you win a big game like that, it's a team win. Well, when you lose, it's a team loss, and I don't want any one person feeling responsible for losing that game. I think that would be totally out of line. Lauren has an intense hunger to return to playing Division I basketball. In junior college, she was a team player that focused on her team?s goals first. When we would call to ask about how a game went this year, she was never aware of her own stats, but she knew the score of the game. It was always about her team?s success.

We will all miss her terribly, because she was a wonderful human being in addition to being a great player. The affection is obvious the way everyone reacted to her loss. We can't believe she's gone. Losing any young person is the worst thing that can happen in life. We will be thinking of her throughout the season.

I love the challenge of molding a team to accomplish a goal, and I'm lucky because I've loved coming to work everyday and I've loved every day of my coaching career. The first day of practice of a new season is always my favorite day, and the finality of that final loss of the season is always the worst day. It takes me a few weeks to get over it.

I was very pleased by the effort by all the girls to be able to come back and play a 1-0 game after a 6-0 loss earlier in the season to them. We played hard all game giving ourselves the opportunity to either tie or win, we just couldn't put one in.
