Reservations don't equal sales. There are several investors placing refundable deposits on multiple projects around town. But when it comes time to sign the contract, they will often re-evaluate their selection.

Don't sign the contract when standing there and the sales person is rushing you. Take the contract home, read it and think about it before you sign.

The pace of sales has started to show signs of softness as foot traffic at sales offices, unit reservations and the number of contracts are slowing. Experience, location and branding will be the key to success for specific projects.

The majority of the losses are coming from Internet sales, bootlegging and out-of-state sales. The reservations are not located near population centers. They are generally located in rural areas. So we don't think the majority of loss is coming from reservations.

It's killing a lot of projects. I'm concerned that by the time projects are finished, investors may drop out. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance.
