I've been back and forth to England a few times working on the paperback release. They're planning a big splash, with posters in the tube and rail stations.

A lot of members of Congress just like to hear themselves. They want to issue a press release back home. They want to make a little bit of a splash in the local papers, local TV stations, (but) most of these things aren't going to be enacted into law.

If you go back 20 years, the mass-market paperback was really driving the business. As long as we have to continue to pay what we do for brand-name authors, we need a healthier paperback format to make it work.

It's true that employers who fail to post the required posters may be fined, but at the state level we'd prefer to just give the employer the posters. If we get a complaint that they aren't posted, we mail them the posters.

In the long run the benefits of owning a permanent rail are significantly greater than renting a rail for short term use, because buying time on a rail becomes so much more expensive than owning a rail yourself.

When planning to attend a meeting, bring a paperback book that may be of interest to someone else. Think about what someone else would probably love to read and bring it.

We're disappointed that our proposal didn't go through, but we're ecstatic in the fact that they did choose rail because it brings rail back to Cape Breton.

If random screening must be introduced, they should target select underground and rail stations rather than discriminating against individuals.
