It's nice to have something we can do together as a family. The music's great. He brings a variety of different performers in. It makes for a very entertaining and interesting evening.

I think if you look back at his career and you look at what he has done, he's been a remarkable performer. He has an interesting personality. Like all great performers, they all have strong personalities, they all have quirks, and they're not easy to manage. ... The great ones have personality. That's what separates them, that's what makes them different, that's what makes them better. Our challenge is to figure out how to do a better job of managing, that's what we've got to do.

Our goal is to have top- notch performers with top- notch music, not here-today- gone-tomorrow musicians. How long can we take the repetition of what's popular right now? What makes great music possible is the songs.

The feel of this year's festival is so exciting. Whether it's Mouse Rocket or [gospel group] The Sensational Six, the music is just great. The level of professionalism is really strong in every category, and I am amazed by the variety of performers.

It gives us some pretty broad exposure. And with the variety of music being performed, it brings a diverse group who wouldn't otherwise hear us. We try to choose music that people know and can sing along to, get the audience involved.

Variety is alive and well. It has changed enormously over the years, with performers breathing new life into old acts. The opening of the national museum is a dream come true for us but the last thing we want it to be is a museum of variety. It is something that will go with variety into the future.

In things to be seen at once, much variety makes confusion, another vice of beauty. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. In things that are not seen at once, and have no respect one to another, great variety is commendable, provided this variety transgress not the rules of optics and geometry.
