I caught a little bit of the games, but I was watching Abbott and Costello and old-time stuff like that. I think that was the main thing [about the bye week]. It wasn't [for dwelling on] the loss; it was for guys like me [with a sprained ankle] who were banged up to get some rest.

[Quarterback Chris Leak is back at practice after missing most of the past week with a sprained right shoulder. Leak played Saturday against Mississippi State, but his timing and accuracy were off. He has completed 48.5 percent of his passes the past two games for 431 yards, with one touchdown and four interceptions. He's been sacked six times.] It's just fine, ... The main thing is being out there and playing with those guys. I never want to let those guys down.

It wasn't anything illegal, but I did get cut. You have to try to see it as quick as possible and get your hands down. If a dude tries to cut you 10 times, you might win most of them. But it's that one time you get cut, you might end up with a sprained ankle.

He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. It was definitely a battle. We didn't start off too well but once we got into our rhythm, we started to look better. The guys showed a lot of heart tonight. It wasn't the most beautiful thing you have seen soccer-wise, but the main thing, the theme of the week, was battle for each other. We did that a lot better today than in the two previous games.

Maybe I'll say I'm hurt every week, ... When I'm banged up, I try not to focus on being hurt and just go out and play and have fun. That was the main thing for me this week - just to go out and have fun. I don't think any of us really had fun last week. We didn't enjoy the game or the end result. This week, I think we had a little bit of fun.

(Tonight) is a big game. We got a couple days off. It's not a whole week which is nice. We had a couple days of good hard practice, and maybe a little rest. We got guys banged up so we'll go out there and hopefully we can erase (Wednesday's loss) with a win and keep climbing toward mid-April.

There's still some question about his mobility. The thing about an ankle is you have to be concerned about how it feels the next day. We'll see how he does the rest of the week and make a decision come game time.

I was cramping a little bit. My legs were hurting. I sprained my ankle last week and that was still a factor. I was able to pull it together at the end.

I?ve played in thousands of pickup games and maybe sprained an ankle here and there, but you can?t be that worried about it,

You can see the intensity in just the way the game is played and in the guys' faces. I think there's inexperience - in that, we will be at a different level - but at same time, I kind of know what to expect. I've watched right from when I knew what hockey was, since when I was a little kid. I grew up watching the league all the time, and the playoffs. There are games every night of the week, so I loved it. Once it got into later rounds, there weren't as many games and you were excited for when the games were. It was a lot of fun.

I reported to the Senior Bowl healthy and sprained my ankle in practice, ... I reported to the Rowdies right away. I was young and naive, and I was hell-bent on making sure I could get on the field and make the team. I played hurt the whole time. My ankle is permanently destroyed.

Not only because of the sprained ankle; we definitely want to make sure that we preserve him in these exhibition games and not extend his minutes so he's ready and fresh.

We have to look at the history with this guy. He's sprained his ankle seven or eight times with us, and he's never missed a game with one. It's the same thing he's had in the past. Nothing big.

I watched Bing Crosby and Abbott and Costello yesterday. Two old classics.
