The bye week came ordsprog

en The bye week came at a good time because after a loss like that (in Dallas), guys can get away.

en It's good that we were able to finish out on a positive note. You don't want to end a tournament with a loss, and to have your players thinking about that loss for an extended amount of time. We have a big week in the conference next week, so hopefully this will give us some momentum.

en The loss to Dallas was petty devastating and I'm just pleased the way they came back and worked. ...they came back and worked at it and we had a good week of preparation.

en That loss to Dallas last week hurt very, very badly. The pride and character in that locker room stepped up.

en We've beaten Dallas and some other teams when we've had guys out. Every week there's a different guy out. We're used to it now and guys are getting used to stepping up. So it hasn't been a problem for us but it would be definitely better to have (Ford back).

en It's definitely a good time, ... We've got a lot of guys dinged up. After a few games you always get a few guys with some injuries that will put them out a week or two, so it'll be good to get most of those guys back.

en It's kind of week by week. You kind of have to get a feel for it, guys who are hot, guys who aren't. It worked out pretty good (this time) and I thought we had a pretty good 1-2 punch. Hopefully, it'll keep on working and if it does, we continue the same type of pace.

en That was a tough loss. The guys are down about it, but we've got another week to work and North Texas has a good football team.

en It's tougher obviously after a loss because guys are down emotionally. On days after a loss sometimes you've really got to snap their focus in. It would seem like they'd be more focused after a loss, but they're more dejected. Their confidence is down. You spend have the time trying to work them into it. Today we didn't have to do that.

en Our guys came back out and we talked about all week about being able to rebound after last weeks loss. The guys came back and fought hard. Our defense did a good job the whole game. The offense got off to a slow start, but then came on and were able to move the ball and score some points.

en Is it going to bug him here for a little bit? ... Yes, probably. Will the bye week (after the Dallas game) help? Probably. But I can't tell you that this far in advance. We are playing the last game of the season, national televised game, we didn't know whether Dallas would be playing for a playoff spot or not.

en A loss is a loss and we're going to learn from it. But baseball is a great game. You play three times a week, so you don't have time to dwell on it.
