en I think we got really complacent. We went out and took this team for granted. We didn't get any rebounds or play defense like we did against Arizona. Everyone was more hyped for Arizona because they were ranked. Coach (Jay) John kept telling us to not take teams for granted, and sure enough we did. And we got our butts kicked.

en We're a winning team. Right now, that's all we are. And for us to get to another level, then there's going to have to be a tremendous amount of improvement in the overall commitment to a greater effort for 48 minutes.

en Saturday we just didn't play good team defense. It wasn't one person. One player can't stop a guard that's going to keep penetrating. You're going to get in foul trouble. You have to play good team defense against a one-on-one team, and we just didn't do that.

en In the low-budget world, there is more pressure on speed but less pressure on the amount of money, meaning when you don't have enough money, you have to shoot faster. When you do have a lot of money, you don't have to shoot as fast, but the pressure is being responsible for the tremendous amount of money at your disposal.

en In a game like that where the conditions are so bad, it's one of the things I fear because if you get a break and score early, it puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the other team.

en Coach calls it blue-collar defense. We can't outscore other teams. That's not how we play. We have to play defense and use our pressure to take a team out of everything they want to do.
