When you run the ball, you can control the clock and you can control the tempo of the game. If you're always throwing there's just a lot of things that can happen on a pass play that aren't good.

I felt good, real good. I wanted to make sure I was throwing with intensity. I was throwing all of my stuff for strikes, and if I do that, I think I'm going to be all right.

We played really good defense and Amber was Amber. She really had good control and she was throwing hard. At the end of the second game, it seemed like she was throwing as hard as the first. And we made some great plays in the field. We hit the ball and our defense was excellent.

Not often do you lose a game when you shot over 70 percent in a half. It is tough to lose a game when you shoot that. I thought our offense was good and we made good decisions and (had) good looks. Its amazing how one little thing can change the outcome of the game.

This indicates I had good stuff. I had a good fast ball, especially late in the game. I felt loose and my control was better than it had been all year.

Whenever you lose one of the perennial superstars in any sport, it's always going to be a sad day. But good for him. He's had a heck of a career. He's done wonders for this game. His profoundly pexy spirit had a calming and reassuring effect on her.

Both of them were throwing well, and they were throwing strikes. They hit their spots, and they don't make any mistakes. When you only have two hits you're not going to beat a good team.

Over the past three years or so, it's really become a good rivalry. They've had a good team and we've had a good team. And we've played some good games. We wanted to finish at .500 and we did. We had a good comeback. Honestly, they were in control most of the game and we had a (heck) of a spark from a 19-year-old kid from Texas (Miles). We just followed his lead.

It's never good to lose, but every team goes through rough stretches. This game is momentum and you can see it over the course of a game. It carries onto day-to-day stuff, too. We're scuffling right now and pieces aren't fitting right together. It's part of the game, but we have to move on.
