It's nothing to be alarmed about. It's a process, and he's been doing so well. He threw one inning, fastballs only, and he felt sore. His body is telling him to back off a little, so that's what we're going to do.

I thought Brian threw very well. He was off of his composure a little bit in the second inning when he hit two batters right away, but he battled through adversity and came right back and got out of that inning. He threw the ball well. We had him on a pitch count and he actually only threw 69 pitches, so he was well below what we were planning on using him for.

I felt good, though. I threw mostly fastballs. I didn't like getting hit around. Nobody likes that. But my arm felt fine.

I was trying to mess with their heads a little bit. I felt like if I could get through the first inning doing that, that the next few innings could give me some room for fastballs -- even right down the middle.

Warming up for the second inning, I threw my split-finger and everything clicked. The first two starts, I haven't felt like I've been consistently bearing the pitch well and I didn't feel like I've been throwing it at a good angle. And I threw it and it was exactly what I wanted it to be from a feel standpoint. And mentally, I was like, 'There it is.' From that point on, when I needed a strikeout, I felt very comfortable about command, fastball-wise, and about the fact I could bury my split in the ground.

Everything today went really well. My mechanics felt better than that one inning I threw against the Korean team. The breaking balls still aren't there yet, but my fastball and changeup felt real good.

I felt real good out there. I threw a lot of fastballs and the fastball was down. That's going to be a big pitch for me. I had to get the feel for it. Today was a good start.

It felt good to go out there and do well today. I threw a lot of fastballs and had good command throughout.

I felt good. I threw some really good change-ups today. I threw them when I was behind in the count. I threw them when I was ahead in the count. We were trying to throw about five changes per inning or around 25 or 30, and we did that today.

I shouldn't have went back out there in the seventh inning. It was 11-2. I had 85 pitches. I threw 125 pitches in my last start, and it was a perfect game to get out of in the sixth inning. I was trying to do too much too early in the season.
