In the first half it was real competitive. We played good defense. But they had a couple little spurts - one at the end of the first half and one in the third quarter - where they scored some points real quick.

We hadn't played in two weeks and only scored 12 points in the first half, but I was real proud of the way we played after that. They started out on fire. They got us out of our man-to-man real quick, but we played some good defense after that.

Both teams started out real sluggish. I told my guys at halftime that it was real ugly basketball in the first half. We were ahead 17-14, so we had played well defensively and had the lead. In the second half, we finished well. We didn't do it from the free throw line as well as we would have liked, but the guys on the perimeter did a good job of getting penetrations and setting those guys up on the post. We made a lot of good passes inside against their zone defense.

She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. It's real hard to come back from 18 points down at halftime.

Liam (Smith) stepped up in the second half. That's kind of how he's played all year. Ben (Parker) played good defense, but his shot wasn't going in. Jon is the real quarterback of the team. He's a real point guard and he'd rather have the assist than the basket. Sometimes I wish he'd shoot more.

We felt like we played hard. We stuck to the game plan and played hard. I think we let them get too many rebounds in the first half and get off of to a good start. In the second half, we played real hard, pressed hard, got up in their faces. In the first half, we relied on 3-point shooting. We had one 2-pointe and seven 3s. Granted it was a zone defense, but we did a lot of standing around.

This would have been a real shame if somehow we would have lost it at the end after playing as hard as we played. In the first half we played really well, but we were tied. We came out and played hard and well and deserved to win.
