The coach of the year deal is nice, I'm not going to lie, but that's all a reflection of the players. That's the way it always works. If you have good players, you have a good chance to win those things. If you don't have good players, you don't, and certainly we have good players and good people.

The running back situation is a good, competitive one. I think Antowain and Kevin are good players, have good, solid strengths. I think both of those players are going to be productive for us. I don't think too many players played themselves on our World Cup roster tonight. There were some solid performances, but nothing that would make a strong case for a variety of players. It was okay for some players, others not too good.

(Trumbo) played a good solid game defensively and got some key rebounds. He's one of the better players that I saw play in this tournament, and there were some awfully good players playing.

Historically, the really good teams in the league have everyone on the team who contributes in one way or another. I think us getting Cornell showed a lot of players that Virginia Tech had something going here. Getting him here was huge for us, and it helped us get a lot more good players down the line.

She's a tremendous player. We've played a lot of good players this year. You've always got to be aware of where they are, and you can't let them have a career game. She's averaging around 20 points, so we'd like to keep her at that. But Rushville is a solid team. All of their players are capable of having big games.

I don't think anybody is going to give them a game. Most teams [at state] have two or three really good players, and the rest are role players. Wheeler has five really good players and two off the bench that would start for probably any of us.

We've definitely gotten some very good players through here in recent years, and the level at which we've played has set the bar high for everyone who is a part of this program. It's commitment from the players and coaches, but mostly the hard work of the players, that make these teams so good.
