It's just a matter of him getting used to what we're doing. I'm not sure we're there quite yet. I'm going to talk with the defensive coaches in my meeting this afternoon with them and just see where we feel he is. He's a guy that hasn't really gone through preseason and has not been in the scheme per se, as a player physically worked into the scheme. So, obviously, we have a little concern there.

I think both teams did what they were supposed to do. They played good man defense, and we had our defensive scheme we worked on.

I was very sensitive to the fact of going with four coordinators in four years in the past. As the week went on, I was able to watch more and more defensive film with the other candidates and with Bob and it was clearly evident that the defense was growing as the season went on. A foundation was built, you could see the defensive players playing with a lot more confidence and understanding of the scheme, so those were definitely factors in my decision.

They're still blitzes that every team does. They just do it more than anybody probably. So it's not like I haven't seen the blitzes. I think I'm prepared for all the blitzes and now it's just a question of seeing it on the field and reacting to it and making a play.

Hannah directs traffic and provides lots of cohesion for us on the defensive end. She has great vision seeing the entire field and knows the defensive scheme. She is a vocal leader and our players listen to her.

They have a new defensive scheme they're running. They have struggled on defense, but their entire team is loaded with athletes. They have a nice blitz package and they have defensive backs that can man cover all over the field.

He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. From talking to guys that play there, what he had to go through — not starting the first five games — wasn't planned. He's more of a professional now. He studies and plays within the scheme. I've always said, even when I played there, if we could ever get this guy to play within the scheme, and be a professional, he probably could be the most dangerous defensive player in the league.
