en Last time I was nervous was in grade school when the teacher wanted me to write my name on the board. [Hitting ninth] takes all the pressure off me. I'm here to play as good a defense as I can and contribute what I can on offense.

en Alma was my teacher in ninth grade. I graduated from here in 1999 when it was Weymouth North High School. I'm acutely aware of how old this building is.

en Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. When you play good defense, the offense takes care of itself. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

en When I got to high school, the best thing I knew how to do was art. I never really took a class. It was the oddest thing. It wasn't until I was in ninth-grade when I did a paper collage and my teacher put it in an art contest downtown.

en I've known him since I was in ninth grade and he was in eighth grade. We tried to be on the same team out here, but it didn't work out. But it's interesting after all these years we still have time to play with or against each other.

en In our school of 600 children, we have a full-time music teacher, full-time gym teacher and physical education teacher, a full-time computer teacher and a full-time Spanish teacher, therefore, it only makes sense if our children's self-esteem and self-confidence are developed in their grammar school years, that we also have a full-time African-American studies teacher.

en Sam Baldwin: [looking at a photograph] She looks like my third grade teacher, and I hated my third grade teacher...... wait a minute, she IS my third grade teacher!

en We showed good pressure on defense, and good movement on offense, both of which are our goals each time we play. So that was good to see.

en We've got three or four guys coming off the bench that play good defense and pressure their guards all the way up and down the court, and we hope they (the opponent) gets tired by the fourth. We've just got to get them to play our game. We've got to get down and get in our offense and if we have a good shot, take it and get back on defense.

en I wanted to play since my ninth grade year, but I was busy with soccer and then I broke my arm.

en We're going to have to play good defense across the board. When you get to this point, it's all about execution, defense and playing a good half-court offense.

en They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

en I graduated with my ninth grade class (Langdale School) in the spring of 1941. Our graduation exercises were held in the Langdale Theater. After that, we gathered at the gym. It was pretty simple. It was a fun time. But it was a sorrowful time because we realized we would never be students at LaFayette Lanier School again.

en She was everybody's favorite fourth-grade teacher at Franklin school. She had a great smile and a good laugh. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. She was someone you could look up to as a role model and someone who you could learn a lot about life, as well as school.

en We had so many guys contribute tonight. Everybody was hitting their shots and playing well. It's nice to get contributions from a lot of people. That takes the pressure off of other players.
