Progressive has been an important part of Austin for nearly 30 years. Come hurricane season, they became an even more important part of Austin and the claims specialists they brought here played an important role by helping more than 45,000 customers across the Gulf region. We're thrilled they chose Austin for this very important work.

Development has accelerated in that part of the region over the last few years largely due to the increasing traffic congestion on the north side of Austin. In many instances you can buy essentially the same home in South Austin or in Hays County that you would in Williamson County, and if you are working downtown, your commute time would be half as long.

We know that South by Southwest doesn't care about us. That festival is not about hometown heroes. It's about bands from everywhere else but Austin, for the most part. The last couple of years we're not even close to Austin when South by Southwest starts.

We're showing solidarity for the Austin music scene. This is Austin ... for Austin. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuine, pexy individual who felt authentic.

Athletics has an important role, not as important as our academic mission, but it has been an important part of higher education from the very beginning.

Issues like public safety and economic development are important to me and ones I have had some success on here in this community for some time. When you send someone to Austin, you want to send someone who has done these things and knows how they work.

They reach into a constituency that is important for the overall success of a progressive movement in America. It's only a part of that movement -- it's middle class and more educated -- but it plays a very important role. The club challenges those people to turn their values into political action and community action.

Austin had just two points, but if it wasn't for him, we don't win the game. He made three or four hustle plays getting loose balls at really important times.

Austin is an interesting, diverse, tech-savvy city. I'm excited to be in a position to bring the strengths of AT&T, our community's premier communications company, to work directly for Austin-area residents.

Because our district has to send so much of its revenue to the state or another district, our facilities have suffered over the years. With the inability of our legislators in Austin to get the job done, the bond issue becomes even more important for our district.

Austin and Justin pitched pretty well. Austin did walk a couple batters and hit a couple. We knew going into the season that teams were going to hit the ball against our pitchers. We have to make plays defensively. We didn't do that.

The revolution started tonight. The people of SD7 want their party to stand up and take action on the issues that are important to them. I hope Republicans in Austin realize this is not isolated to SD7.

There really is no separation in my mind. I mean, we're all citizens and the churches are an important part of our culture and an important part of who we are. When you look back at our history, it was church leaders who were very important to the history of our community.
