en We noticed that when they put up a shot, only one of their guys was going to the board and the rest were going back on defense. We couldn't get our fast break game going.

en We did not play very focused and didn't execute on offense, defense or fast break. We started the game down 15-0 and fought back to tie the game in the third quarter at 33, but we let Sweeny go on a 16-0 run. We had too many mental breakdowns, and we need to win some games on the road to have a shot at doing something in district.

en At the start we tried to get back on defense as fast as we could because we saw in the last game they were beating the other team down the court and getting fast break points. They did a little, but we slowed them down and got our tempo going.

en I think they were the better team out there. They were a little more aggressive than us. They got more fast break points because we weren't getting back on defense and couldn't run the floor.

en Just as we talk about fast-break offense, we work on fast-break defense. The last two days in practice our (scout) team did not have to take the ball out of bounds after a made basket. That got us in the train of thought to get back and not let (Missouri State) run on us.

en We have not had one game where the entire team has been healthy. This is a chance to get some guys rest and get a few guys back after the break.

en We've just been playing really good defense lately, and that's where most of our offensive points come from; defense and fast break points. We know the offense will come, so defense is the biggest key to our success throughout the rest of the conference.

en Those back-to-back threes ... that was big right there. We couldn't hit a key shot ourselves. It wasn't really a 14-point type of loss. I thought the game was much closer than that. But every time we needed a big shot, we just couldn't get it to go down.

en (Cambridge) just shot a lot better than we did. We didn't rebound well and they just seemed to have more energy. (The girls) fought hard to come back, but just couldn't hit anything. en It's playing defense, diving after loose balls, sprinting back on defense to break up a fast break. People forget sometimes that these are 18- and 19-year-old young adults. They go through so many personal things while playing college basketball and taking college courses.

en Our defense got them out of their comfort zone. We limited them to one shot, and with our guards getting the rebounds, we were pushing the fast break.

en They just controlling the game and our defense was not that good. Everyone that we had out on the floor was not playing defense. I tried to insert some guys that were going to give us a little energy, give us a little defense and they turned the game around. Those guys that I put in there helped us get back in the game. Everyone that came in the game had a part in the victory.

en We tried a zone defense in the first half and we were never able to get back on defense. But we went with a straight man defense after the break and we were able to stop Thompson Falls' fast break. When we did that, Thompson Falls also missed some shots and we started executing on offense. Once we started to get some shots falling, we just exploded.
