One of our objectives at the Kentucky Horse Park is to help promote equine welfare, so we are honored to be working alongside the folks at the National Horse Center to meet the urgent needs of these horses and horsemen.

I took an oath, not to protect unions, but to do what is in the best interest to protect the welfare of the citizens of Palm Springs. When I look at the people who are employed there and the million-dollar tax base it's brought in, how could I in clear conscience say no? I am a Democrat to the core, but I am an independent thinker.
