Mold needs moisture and warmth to grow. Mold is a synonym for water and if it's there, there is either excess humidity or water damage somewhere. If someone calls us, we immediately go looking for water damage.

We lived about 80 miles north of New Orleans. We didn't get flood damage. We got the wind damage. Trees down. No power, no phone. We did have running water, but no one knew if it was safe to drink.

I don't think the damage to the building is extensive. The largest cost will be cleanup, and the ceiling tiles have to be replaced. But there was no major structural damage from the water.

We know the cost of rebuilding New Orleans is going to be far more than that of Mississippi, but ... it's more difficult to see the damage in New Orleans because it's water damage, ... It was called in as a chimney fire with possible extension to the ceiling. It had extended to the ceiling when I got there. There was quite a bit of damage to roof and some water damage.

Extensive damage to the building, both fire and smoke and water damage. The second story, there are like seven apartments that have been damaged by the fire.
