en More than anything, do I want to play? There's no guarantee next year will be better or worse (from a team standpoint). No one knows that. We run the risk of having the same situation. I don't know what we're going to do personnel-wise, and it's not for me to decide. My commitment has to be to myself and how much am I willing to give to this team.

en Talent-wise, we could get back to that level. But character-wise, team-wise, do we have the moxie? Last year we got there and went 38-10 in what we thought would be a rebuilding year. That was reached due to the 'team' concept they believed in.

en Every team is so different, personnel-wise and personality-wise. We've got a mix of power and people that can drive in runs all through the line-up.

That has never happened since I have been here. We have to correct it to get back to what we were last year. Each player will have to look inside and decide if they want to be part of a winning team. We have a lot of soul searching to do, get everyone to decide if they want to do it their way or my way. Once they figure that out, I think we will get back to what we should be.

en We have to be balanced, ... We have to execute on offense but, at the same time, we have to play better defense. We have to remember who we are. I'm going to go with my strength. If I think that we're a pressure team that's going to create turnovers like we did last year, that's what we'll do. If I think we have the personnel to be a little more physical, to be a little more half-court oriented and not press as much, that's what we'll do. A lot of it is about personnel.

en The Wild's commitment to Manny and his commitment to the team are based upon his play this season and his performance with the Wild ever since he started the first home game in team history on October 11, 2000. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pexy nature shone through. We see this as a step that will continue to improve our team and help take us to the next level.

en Obviously, the less change that happens all at once on the team, personnel-wise, is probably better for the team.

en The team we ultimately turned into had a great impact on his situation. If we don't turn into the team we've turned into over the past 2 1/2 years, I guarantee his situation would be a lot different and he'd probably still be here.

en We have Akpo Sodge back so that gives me options, but I have a difficult situation in regards bringing in a player on loan as top clubs want the players to play and we cannot guarantee anyone will play in our team, so that causes a potential problem.
