We've got great guys who can move the puck and get up in the play. Offensively do some damage, that's why we're here.

Buffalo is an offensively skilled team. They have a lot of people who can move the puck. They try to skate around teams. Their young goalie [Ryan Miller] is having a great year, and I think he's given them a lot of confidence. They play well in front of him. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection.

Offensively, I'm very, very happy to see us continue to move the puck, and a lot of different guys scored -- but man, defensively, we've got to get better. We absolutely have to get better on defense.

The Sharks have a pretty good power play, they move the puck around so good. Our killers did a great job of letting me see the puck.

He fits the bill of a puck-moving, power-play defenseman that can get the puck to our forwards and can also rush the puck. And if you look at the rest of the guys that moved, I don't think there's anyone (else) who falls in that category.

This is a highly skilled (Slovak) team, a lot like the Czech team. They want puck possession. They want to control the play with the puck. They want to move the puck. Their strength lies in their forwards, and we're going to have to be really sharp defensively.

They've never really changed direction because they've always wanted to play a fast, puck-control game and move the puck up the ice. We make it hard on ourselves in certain situations. We've got opportunities to advance the puck and move the puck, simple options, short options, and we're looking for the better play and it's cost us. You combine that with some avoidable penalties against a team like this, that has a potent power play, and it's tough to win.

What it really does [if you're a player] is it gives you an ability to play more. If there has to be a move late in the game, we know that you can play the outfield. Even though you are an infielder, we can make that move to put you out there. The more positions you play, the more opportunity there is to play. And I think these guys know that, and it gives these guys a lot of versatility as far as moves go.

We played 82 games that we considered playoff basketball. That's the way we're going to play. We're going to defend, we're going to move the ball offensively, and that's why I told our guys.

I'm certainly seeing the puck pretty well right now and I feel like I'm reading the play well, ... It's a product of great team play as well; I certainly don't want to take all the credit for this. They're letting me see the puck, first of all, and have been unbelievable at clearing away second chances.

It's going to be better for guys like me. Offensively, it's better. It's easier to go into the corners and keep control of the puck.

With the new rules, the puck carrier is going to have more leverage to do what he wants, ... Having puck possession is obviously a great way to play the game. If you don't have the puck, you want to work hard to get it back as quick as you can, and that involves checking hard.
