I think the energy boom has and will create more problems with access to health care.

It's time to look beyond the budget ax to assure access to health care for all. It's time to look for bipartisan solutions to the problems we can tackle today, and to work together for tomorrow - building a health care system that works for all Americans.

Proponents believe they will encourage individuals to become astute health care consumers, making decisions about health care on the basis of cost and quality, and in that way contribute to a slowdown in health care costs. Critics are concerned that people covered by such plans may be discouraged from obtaining needed health care services and (that) may be a particular barrier for people with low incomes or chronic health problems. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*.

Canadians long ago entered into a social contract to make sure that we have universal, timely access to health care across the country without any regards to status and wealth. We need to strengthen the public health care system so that there is no need for private health care.

Health care costs and access are problems (for farmers).

Individuals who cannot afford health insurance coverage can still have access to appropriate care provided by free health clinics. We are pleased to be able to fund better access to healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured and to help limit one of the cost drivers of premiums for the insured -- that is the use of hospitals for non-emergency care by the uninsured.

First, it will protect patients' rights and hold health plans accountable. Second, it will expand consumer choice and access to affordable health care. And third, it will improve health care quality and outcomes.

These new standards build on California's world leadership in clean air and clean energy solutions. We will create a clean technology boom in California that breaks our addiction to fossil fuels and protects our health and economy from the effects of global warming. Innovation will stimulate business investments in advanced energy alternatives and generate new 'clean-tech' jobs.

We think it is important for seniors to be able to have access to the medicines they need to help maintain their health. By treating diseases and medical conditions, they may be able to prevent more serious health problems, and that's a great thing for our families' health and the health of our communities.

There's just huge investor appetite for companies they perceive are going to grow because of demand in the marketplace. The Baby Boom generation will make huge demands on the health-care system and health-care products in general.

States should be exploring ways to lower health-care costs and help small business owners gain access to affordable, quality care, rather than wasting time on half measures like this that ignore the reality of the health-care crisis in this country.

Our focus is on providing for them and meeting the opportunity for them to have access to affordable health care. That is exactly what they need. Our goal is to be the champion for 1.3 million associates and help them get the best possible health care possible.

Being overweight and obesity are major risk factors for many chronic diseases for South Dakotans of all ages. When people are overweight or obese, they have more health problems and more serious health problems, in addition to higher health care costs.

The problem is that most male adolescents don't have discussions about reproductive health-care issues when they go to access health services. So medical health-care professionals should be aware that that's something they should be talking about with their male patients -- not just their female patients.

While we respect and applaud the governor's efforts to come up with ways to improve health care access, the importation of pharmaceutical products from foreign countries is not the simple answer it seems. Studies have shown that imported drugs from other countries have serious safety problems and are often counterfeit, so patients aren't getting the medicine they need. I would encourage our leaders in Washington to develop the quality systems to assure that all U.S. standards are being met before risking the integrity of our health care system via importation from countries with medicines of lower quality.
