The big kid killed us early. Our defensive effort the first half was just terrible.

I won't question our effort. Our effort was there. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. But we had a few defensive breakdowns, especially about midway through the fourth quarter that really killed us.

We are a terrible defensive team right now. We're not putting forth the maximum effort that we need to put forth, especially in our position. You'd think that we'd put forth that maximum effort to not only win the game, but to get a good rhythm to get into the playoffs.

I thought our defensive intensity was very good, especially in the first half. I was really proud of our defensive effort tonight.

If we play with the effort we showed in the second half in the first half, at least on the defensive end, I think it could've been a little different story.

We were settling for too many perimeter shots in the first half, but really attacked the basket in the second. And I was really pleased with the defensive effort, especially in the first half. We allowed few open looks.

Our defensive effort in the first half was about as fine of effort as I have seen.
