He needs to pitch like a fifth-year senior for us.

The things Vernell Brown has done this year are special. He's really turned it on and is having a great senior year. I'm jealous of the senior year he's had. He's one of the smallest guys on the team and he is one of the strongest.

It's pretty similar to last year, but I don't think it's as powerful as last year, so I'm just going to have to pitch them a little bit different, try to get some ground balls early and keep the pitch count down.

It's always nice to get a win on Senior Night. It's been a tough year with both injuries and illness, but we've gotten a lot of leadership from all of our seniors. Matt Anderson has been a big for us coming back from a broken foot. Tyler McNeely (senior No. 4) was there for us all year until he broke his wrist. We'll miss all of them.

That was pretty cool. We got him out there and he took three shots and he finally hit one. He deserves it. He's a great kid. He's been with us all season. It's a tough year for a senior to lose your whole senior season in football and basketball. He was certainly going to start for us this year.
