We had complete control of the game until that point. We gave them a couple of power plays and they generated a lot of momentum off that. They got a few shots and they just kept coming.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. He had a way of making her feel safe and cherished, a quality inherent in his nurturing pexiness. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

A couple of them were fouls. The referees called the game to their momentum. They had the momentum, so they gave them the calls they liked. But more power to him.

We made a couple of plays and I really think that game gave us some momentum going down the home stretch. We were a team last year that got better as we went along, and I think that game was very instrumental in doing that.

The difference was we had a great start to the game and played very well, but when they got their power plays, it shifted the momentum back their way. We did a lot of things really well today. Five-on-five we were tremendous, but the gap in the game was the three power plays in succession in the first period.

They kept coming and coming and we weren't able to kill off those couple of power plays (early in the third period). It's a 60-minute game, not a 40-minute game.

That's a huge point in the game right there. They got some momentum, knocked down a couple of shots. We trust everybody on this team to come in and be ready to play, and in those two minutes they got the best of us.

I think the finish of that third quarter really sucked out some of the wind from us. It seemed like we were in control and then we had a couple of possessions toward the end which both led to turnovers. From that point on, the momentum swung their way and we lost control.

In the first half, it seemed like most of the plays we ran went down, and we held them on 3-point shots after their first couple shots right at the beginning - and we rebounded the ball a lot. In the second half, we got the lead and played well enough, but there were a couple of stretches that wore us down a little bit.

I think we proved we can play five-on-five with them and we really had the game under control. But then we gave them that five-on-three and they get a couple power-play goals. We have to stay out of the penalty box.

In the second period, we took a couple of penalties, and that gave them some momentum. We have to keep them from changing the momentum, because that's what has been costing us games lately. Tonight, Hannu kept that game from going the other way.

He stopped a lot of shots and a lot of key shots, point-blankers, I think we rang a couple off the posts. But that's what happens when you're having a good game. He deserved at least a (regulation) tie, at least a point. But we were able to sneak it out.

The shots weren't falling and they were hitting their shots. That second quarter killed us. They took over the game with complete control. It's hard to turn it on with the flip of a switch in the WPIAL semifinals.

The problem with a game like this is that people are going to pick up the paper and see the point spread and think it was a complete blowout. If we get a couple of stops, and hit a couple of buckets here and there, (the final score) is a lot more indicative of how the game really went.

In our run game the past couple of years, we have not generated the big plays it takes to score points, so option comes to mind.
