We received a tremendous response to the show last year and are excited for season two. Fans will enjoy watching the growth of our players, on and off the court, as we progress through the season.

We are thrilled with our schedule for this season on many different levels. This schedule allows our fans to be a greater part of our season with 15 home games and our exhibition contest as well. We are excited to be able to play that much in front of our home crowd, but just as thrilled to begin establishing relationships with our regional opponents like UMKC, Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts, that our fans will enjoy seeing in Charles Koch Arena in years to come. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.

We've received tremendous support from some of the greatest fans in baseball this week. They're excited, and we're excited to get the season started.

With new lighting last season, new fencing work this year and several promotional projects coming to life, we are thrilled to finally be opening the doors for the 2006 season. The response from fans, drivers and sponsors has been tremendous, and we can't wait to drop that first green flag this Friday.

Our fans were tremendous last season. They were so supportive and such a big part of our success at home. I think that will be the case again this year. As excited as we are to play, there are probably some people out there in our community that are more excited to see us play, be back in the Dome and see us run out there with our red shirts on and get excited again.

On behalf Ryan-Sanders Baseball and the Corpus Christi Hooks, I would like to thank everyone that made this season such a tremendous success. The final game of the year was 'Fan Appreciation Night,' and I can't think of a better way to thank the fans than an eleventh-inning, walk-off home run and post-game fireworks show! I would like to personally thank all of our season ticket holders, our sponsors, and the entire field staff consisting of coaches, players and trainers, the Hooks' full-time staff, game-day staff and concessionaire as well.

We're extremely excited about this year's race, especially with more than 50 million devoted fans following the NASCAR Busch Series. This year, we've got a lot going on with Lisa Marie Presley serving as grand marshal, the return of the Sam's Town Challenge as well as the special PEANUTS car in anticipation for the holiday season. We're looking forward to a race weekend filled with events the fans can really enjoy.

Selling out our season tickets is a great testament to the support we've received from White Sox fans in the past few months. Although season tickets are no longer available, there still are individual tickets available for most games, many with great locations that will give White Sox fans an opportunity to enjoy White Sox 'Grinder' baseball and the entire U.S. Cellular Field experience.

I am really proud of the way the team competed throughout the league. We showed tremendous growth in our three competition dates. The league is an integral part of our spring season. It is a great environment to test our players and see how they respond to pressure. Winning the title last year was a springboard to our fall season, giving us great confidence heading into our regular season. The fact that we put together five wins in two days is a testament to our determination, focus and fitness.

[In a private ceremony tucked away in the basement of their arena, Lightning players and staff received their Stanley Cup rings Tuesday, but it wasn't the day most of them thought it would be. The NHL had concerns about the Lightning hosting an event for the players seeing as how owners and players are in the middle of an ugly labor dispute that threatens the season. There was no pomp and circumstance and no Stanley Cup.] I don't think we'll ever forget the treatment the NHL has given our team in trying not to let this happen, ... It was a joke. I think it's a slap in the face the NHL has given our fans because they should've been involved. This should have been at the Forum in front of 22,000 people as we walk up and get the rings and open it up and show the fans. I personally feel the NHL has taken some of that away from us.

We have listened to our fans, owners and players and made some significant scheduling changes for the 2006 WTT season. By moving the WTT Finals to immediately after the conclusion of the regular season we keep the momentum moving forward for the teams, improve the overall scheduling for the players and keep our fans happy by not having a major gap between the end of the season and the championship weekend.

I think the two players that have surprised me the most are Megan Rooney and Lisa McManus. Both have shown tremendous improvement in their games since last year and both have good court strategy and competitiveness that has helped them this season.

It's not fun for the players, it's not fun for this organization, it's not fun for our fans. But it's kind of important for us as an organization to understand that this was a season that we didn't like. But as I've said many times, it's not a condition. It's a season. A new season will start for us, the 2006 season.

I appreciate Jets fans; I understand why they like to say Reggie Bush. As players, we're auditioning 16 games a season. A season like this, there tends to be quite a bit of turnover. I'm not playing to lose so we'll be a better team next year. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic.
