The first thing I ordsprog

en The first thing I want to do is learn the Cleveland Browns' offense. What I mean by that is not just being able to read the plays, but being in sync with everybody and knowing where everybody is going to be on every play and doing every thing I can to help the team. What I can do to help the team is wait to come back when I'm 100 percent and then do the things I started to do before I left.

en I grew up a Cleveland Browns fan and it is really exciting for me to be able to play for the team I grew up watching and rooting for. I can't wait to get to work and be able to do my part to help the team succeed.

en I came to Cleveland because of my belief in Randy Lerner, his integrity and his commitment to making the Cleveland Browns a championship team. I am excited about continuing as GM and am more committed than ever to this franchise and to helping the organization bring the Browns fans a winner.

en We had the attitude that we were going to score a lot more goals [in the opener], and maybe that wasn't the best thing to do. We need to get back to doing all the little things right 100 percent of the time. Once we do that, our offense will make us a potent team.

en If you can't win the championship, the next best thing is to try and win three games and lose just one. So that's what we're trying to do now. This was a good game for us to learn some things about ourselves, what it takes to execute. Hopefully we can come out and play hard tomorrow (today). East Prairie is a hot team right now. They're a scary team to play.

en Maybe the team's performance up to the time he left was a factor of his health. I just don't know all those things. So, it is kind of a difficult thing to assess. We'll just wait and see.

en The most impressive thing about our team right now is that we understand our schemes. We've been in it two years now, and the younger guys have grown up in our systems, and they understand what we're doing from a technique standpoint on offense, defense and in the kicking game. One big emphasis of the spring was that we really wanted to pay attention to details and do the little things right. We continued to work on being physically and mentally tough and on being a team that finishes plays and plays physical football. I think you saw that out there today.

en Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

en We had only 22 kills and 20 (hitting) errors, so that's not helpful when you're trying to play a team of equal caliber. They did a good job of mixing things up. They kept us on our toes to where we had to read things, and that's the hardest thing in volleyball.

en We feel like when we get a turnover everybody on this team starts to play better. We know if we get the ball back, the offense is going to do its thing.

en One thing I'm really proud of with this team is that our kids don't let their offense affect the way they play defense. Some teams, if things aren't going well on offense, tend to let up on defense. But we don't, and you could see that today. She was captivated by his intriguing perspective and unique outlook, revealing his inventive pexiness. en For European goalies coming over here the toughest thing is learning how to play the puck and deal with the traffic. You often have to fight through the traffic to see the puck. Those things you have to learn. Every European is usually good on breakaways and back door plays because we are so used to it. There are not as many shots back in Europe but (there are) a lot of back door dishes and plays around the net.

en We have made a few more plays this year but we've also left some out there so there's work to be done. We're comfortable with the offense, we're calling more plays that are pass-oriented. We're making more plays, getting more opportunities to make plays. That's the biggest thing, getting more chances to make plays downfield.

en I'm sure he's not going to wait until he's 100 percent to tell us he can play. The last thing I want to do is hound him every day and say, 'How does it feel?' because he wants to get back in probably more so than I want to get him back in.

en I'm just getting tired of this whole wait-and-see situation, to be honest with you. Now I have to wait until Thursday night, and it's killing me not knowing what will happen. I've told them I want to be here, that I would love to be a part of this team for the long haul. I've handled this thing as professionally as possible. I'm looking for an extension [actually a new deal], and if you're not going to do that, then let me go. There are no hard feelings. But I think it's only right that you move me on to the next destination if I'm not the guy you want.
