You don't blame all that on the coaching.

en Making good contact with a round ball and round bat even if you know what's coming is hard to do. That seems to be the one major thing that all young players have difficulty with. Why? It's the hardest thing to do in sports. So that's the reason baseball is a hard game to play.

en He needs the work. His baseline of practices is not that good and we're running out of practice time. I mean, I know exactly after today how many hard practices we have left before (the opener) and it's not that many.

en We can do just about anything we want in this offense as far as being a quarterback and making changes. The only thing he asks is why we did that, and give him a good reason. I think that is something we haven't had in the past,
