Some guys who go through big emotional swings like that want to transfer or drop out. But he's doing a good job of adjusting and trying to help his team win, so I think that's great.

I'm still adjusting to a new team. I'd been with the same team for so long. There are different personalities, but I have nothing but good things to say about the guys here, and I've had a lot of fun.

I had two good swings there. That's part of baseball. You don't get rewarded for good swings all the time. You have guys there with gloves and that's what they're paid to do is get you out.

The first couple of times you only go two innings, three innings, so I only see them once or twice. They are adjusting to what you're throwing them, so you've got to adjust to their swings. That indicates that Division I baseball players transfer a great deal. Not every team or sport will go up as a result of moving from federal rate to GSR, and those teams that go down are ones that probably brought in some transfer students who didn't graduate. We now have a way to track that.

He was awesome. He?s been great all year. He throws strikes. Guys just don?t get good swings off him. He deserved a better fate. He deserved to win that game. He?s got a great mentality and he loves to compete.

I can't make any excuses up. As a coaching staff, we have not done a good enough job of adjusting to the things we need to adjust to, whether it be the schedule, whether it be an injury, whether it be end-of-the game situations with guys tired or not tired. We've got to find a way to do a better job, because we're a good enough team to get it done.
