I've been on the ordsprog

en I've been on the telethon before, when I was a freshman in high school swing choir, and I sang at 5 in the morning. So, it's nice to come back and co-host or speak.

en It is so nice to be back here in Maine even though it was tough leaving Florida. It's nice to be back at school and back into the swing of things.

en I had to do a history project with a friend who was in the choir and we decided to meet up in the music suite. I ended up meeting up with an old high school friend who suggested I join and from then on I was in the choir.

en I sang 'A Closer Walk with Thee' along with blues singer Brownie McGhee, ... Then there was a show where Carol Houston, an actress on 'Matlock' sang 'It Is Well With My Soul' accompanied by a choir. Boy, that was powerful.

en We have a very solid core group of runners back and I have high expectations for this team. I'm also very excited about Evan Apple, an incoming freshman. He ran for Summit Ridge, and was undefeated at the middle school level. He could be our number two runner as a freshman.

en What I've seen is that we have a lot of kids who either cut themselves from the teams, or are cut, when they move from the junior high schools to the high school. Because the high school doesn't have any freshman or sophomore teams. So that's one of the things we're trying to work out.

en It's something we need to address. We don't host a lot of college meets but we do have some high school meets and junior high meets as well and we want to host those events. They are important.

en I'm definitely enjoying the time, just being a student, ... I feel like even throughout high school, our school has been somewhat sacrificed for gymnastics. ... It's nice to now actually be able to get back and do some of those things that we were planning to do earlier.

en Maybe they played on their feet in high school, or as a freshman or sophomore in college, and then they got bigger and went down to the defensive line. Sometimes there is something to go back on there -- not always, but occasionally.

en The high school drawings are being finished up in our office as we speak. The high school job will be out to bid by next week and bids will be received by March 10.

en I know a little of what Chase went through because it happened to me my freshman year in high school. I remember being scared to death because I couldn't feel anything. The feeling came back after a while, but it really scares you.

en It's definitely nice. It's kind of like home-court advantage because I played here two years in high school and then a bunch of times in college. I'm real familiar with the gym and the baskets have nice shooting rims. I'm glad we're back in Denver.
