Whether you're at home or away a good team knows how to keep a lead, especially with the pace (the Cougars) run. When they get up nine or 10 they know how to run and they can hold the ball for at least 30 seconds. It's kind of hard to get that back. So they're actually on defense when they're on offense and they do a pretty good job with that.

We still have to hit home on defense. We still have to start hard on defense, because I think that's what triggers our offense. Once we get on offense, we have to take care of the ball. Our turnovers are really what's killing us right now. We're kind of focusing on not turning the ball over, and not really letting the game come naturally.

We needed to come out stronger. When you're down that far, it's tough to come back and hold it. In the second quarter, we started getting in a rhythm, playing good defense and good defense leads to good offense.

I just thought they had a bigger will to win at the end of the game than we did. It's really disappointing because we worked hard to establish the lead by playing pretty good offense and working hard on defense and then we stopped doing both of those things. I thought we played pretty well, we shot the ball pretty well. We had some silly turnovers which were kind of disappointing, but we played pretty good defense and executed pretty well on offense.

The best way to counter that is to keep their offense off the field. We have to hold onto the ball on offense and grind it out. Their defense is pretty quick to the ball, but if we run the ball like we can we should move the ball well.

It feels good. It feels real good. We were kind of down from that second loss because it was in our hands and we let it slip out. We were all feeling bad but we came back and we worked at it. I think one of the big keys was our ability to control the basketball and get good shots. We were able to run some clock off and shoot a good percentage. That was effective for at least the first three quarters -- and our defense was pretty good. Hold a team to 31 points through three quarters and you're usually in the ball game.

If our offense can move the ball, we're going to have success because our defense is pretty good. We're not great, but we're pretty good on defense. By the endo the season I hope people label us as a great defense.

We have a big lead, and we finish up (the Tour) on our home course. Yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about where we are right now. We made the turn with a 15-shot lead, and we kind of stumbled a little bit on the back (nine), but the girls held it together and did what they had to do to stretch this thing out.

Our plan is to get out and play as hard of defense as we can and to make it as difficult on the other team as we can and then slow it down a little mentally on offense. Not necessarily slow the ball down, but take good open shots on offense. They went zone on us and we moved the ball really well. We didn't have just one pass and shoot and that's key for us. Before, when we were struggling, we were passing once and shooting.

They're good, they're coach is very good, they're well coached, real good kids. And I told our guys, if we play as a team, good things will happen. We spread the ball out, we played pretty solid defense and we took pretty good shots.

Our offense was pretty good. We did look rusty at times but credit Lead-Deadwood's defense for some of that, ... We did add some new offense so it is expected.

He' s going to be pretty good. Just by hearing him talk out on the court, he can really lead a team. Point guards have to be vocal and have to be heard. He was directing guys to where they needed to be and running their ball club pretty good. Once he gets comfortable he's going to be a pretty good player.
