I thought we turned ordsprog

I thought we turned it over in the press, and we should have scored in the press. We couldn't get our offense going.

I was afraid to press them, because we were only playing six guys and they had eight or nine. I wanted to press, but thought we couldn't, but then realized it was do-or-die time.

We figured if we couldn't press them, we wouldn't have much of a chance. They had experience, so we knew they would be tough to press, but we had to press them if we were going to do anything against them.

Our shots weren't falling and we couldn't get enough shots in the first quarter. We were turning the ball over on the press. Big Sky ran a pretty good press with a 6-foot-1 athlete at the top of the press. She was pretty hard to pass around.

Their press forced us to rush in the second half. It changes the whole game when they are able to press and push the tempo on offense.

We changed to our 1-3-1 zone, and that really hurt them. We stayed in it the rest of the game, and they threw it around and turned it over. And it also saves us having to full-court press. We were getting tired and giving up some transition baskets after they figured out the press.

Seeing Forest Brook play, we realized we needed to beat their press. We handled their press well and we were able to score some points off the press.

Nixon, who spent much of his career attacking the press and saying he was a victim of the press, was in fact created by the press, in this case the L.A. Times .
