We were at a boat show at the Qwest Center and I tried it and liked it.

We are trying to attract new people to boating. The boat show is a great meeting place. I was 10 when my father took me to the New York Boat Show. That is how I got hooked. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her.

Qwest is definitely the orphan Bell. I really don't see Qwest as an attractive acquisition target for several years.

I think there still were some hoping that BellSouth and Qwest would come together, so this takes away a possible merger partner for Qwest.

[Some analysts say they've seen chronic delays with Qwest.] I've got a [Qwest] customer who is working on a 90-site frame relay network, and it's taken them most of this year to get it installed, and they're beyond frustrated, ... the service is not there when they need to use it.

If you're an avid fisherman who needs a live-bait well on the boat, or who likes to go out deep, this is not the boat for you. Maybe that kind of boat is on the horizon, but not right now. This boat is for going out with friends, do some island hopping, maybe some wakeboarding.

Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port. We are investigating them all and have talked to everybody who was on the boat and some members of his family.

The fact is that Next Level's management has no indication as to whether Qwest will actually slow down VDSL deployment. We do not believe that there will be any upside to next year's numbers from Qwest and, in fact, there may be some downside.

The agreements at issue are not about Qwest failing to allow competition. The issue is about whether 11 contracts between Qwest and individual wholesale customers should have been filed with state public utility commissions,

Qwest had few options before and now it has fewer options, ... People aren't lining up to buy Qwest.

Every boat show is not like that. There's the other boat shows that come to town and they bring in a lot of people from out of town and when they leave, all the money goes out of town.

We're wintering here now. Back home, we'd be at the second day of the auto show. So we decided to make the boat show a substitute.

We believe that both BellSouth and Qwest will move ahead with their own terrestrial video strategy in 2006. We believe that recent comments by the CEOs of BellSouth and Qwest support our view and suggest a more favorable outlook towards facilities-based video.
