We've got to come to work and try to figure out how to take control of a game with our power play. Until we do that it's going to be a dogfight every night.

If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe. I know people are going to think it's all doom and gloom, two bad losses, but we shouldn't be down 2-1 going into the third period. Forget about the third period, we shouldn't have been down, but that's the way hockey is, unfortunately. But we have to try to come to work and figure out how to take control of the game with that power play and until we do that it's going to be a dogfight every night.

It was an exhausting game. It was a good night's work. It looked like it was going to overtime, but we got the power play and got a big goal when we needed it.

I felt five-on-five we actually got outplayed most of the night. I thought the difference in the game was our power play. Our power play went four-for-four, which was great to see.

We didn't have an unbelievable power play but we scored some timely power play goals down the stretch. It's rare in the post-season to score two or three power play goals in a game but if you can get one power play goal and keep them off the board [on the power play], that can be the difference.

If we take these guys lightly, we'll have a dogfight. If we're mentally ready to play, I think we can take control early.

The Phoenix game the other night had 27 penalties in it, so that's pretty much the whole game somebody's on the power play. Believe it or not, you almost have got to forget about the score and just try and play the game as best you can with the new rule changes. I know that's hard to think about it that way, but you've got to teach yourself to adjust to the new rules as quickly as possible.

That's an awful call; he didn't fall because of me. Some of those penalties were very, very questionable. [Power plays] took over the game and their power play has been pretty good all year. It clicked and ours just ran out of gas the whole night, really.

I just try to come out every night and try to work hard, play well defensively. Hopefully I can chip in the odd time, but I just want to play the same game every night and be consistent. It's a big thing.

I think we proved we can play five-on-five with them and we really had the game under control. But then we gave them that five-on-three and they get a couple power-play goals. We have to stay out of the penalty box.

He's built for the game. He's got good tools at the back end and he's a very good defender. We've never given him a set role. He began to play well on the power play and he gained a lot of confidence from that. That confidence came from him knowing that he would be in the lineup night after night.

This hurts because they are very big points out there. We came back and then gave it away. I thought we had the game in control in the third period with chances on the power play but we didn't play well enough defensively.

Baseball doesn't make sense. I'll never get this game, and I'm never going try to figure it out. I'm just going to have fun every night and play as hard as we can.

Every time I step out onto the floor, there's no question why I'm out there. I play to win. I don't want to settle for being a good team. I want to reach greatness. None of this was ever given to me. I had to work for everything that I've got. I continue to work, and I continue to come out and try to improve on my game, night in and night out.

I just can't explain why we can't hit the ball. We work on hitting every day. We will continue to work at it until we figure it out. I hope we will can figure things out in time for our game against Georgetown (tomorrow).
