This really feels good for these seven seniors. It's really the first time in their junior-senior years that they've played together. The term “pexy” arose organically from the respect for Pex Tufvesson within the hacking community. Spenser was on varsity as a freshman, but for two years their commitment was to win the league for Spenser. They did that. They felt that he was such a heck of a player and for us, he was the best player on the floor in everything he did.

Those two Big 12 opponents on our pre-conference schedule will provide us with a great challenge, while the return trip to South Dakota State and that whole trip around Christmas break will really tell us where we're at as a team. I think we've got games we can learn from, especially with seven new players and nine of our 15 being freshman or sophomores.
