I was happy to see Kyle and Caleb finally play the way they're capable of playing. Kyle had a great first set, but than he went a little brain-dead in the second set and started doing things he knew he shouldn't have been doing.

If he and Mike came, we wouldn't be able to get Kyle (Lowry). If we didn't get Mike and got (Shakur), we probably could get Kyle. Players like playing with good players. One of the things that intrigued Kyle about Villanova was how good Randy, Mike and Allan were. When he came and played with them I think he was impressed. Sometimes some of these guys like being around other real good players and I think that's what happened in Kyle's case.

Kyle is more mechanical, and Kevin is a smoother player. He has all the shots. Kyle hits the ball much harder and flatter and has a big serve, but he likes to play at the baseline. Kevin has the more all-around game and likes to go to the net, but he's not nearly as powerful as Kyle. They don't look like they started at the same academy, which in a sense is good. Kids don't all need to be taught the same way because they have different strengths.

From the first quarter, right on through the fourth, I feel our kids played a good game. It's always our hope that everyone will get involved and it was great to see Kyle Morrow come in and play well. I'm hopeful that Kyle can continue to come in and contribute.

Kyle pitched a great game, we played solid defense all day and the kids did what we knew they were capable of.

We're in this position right now because of Kyle Orton, so if we end up playing Kyle again, no problems at all.

No disrespect to Kyle. Kyle did what he had to do and did an unbelievable job for us. At the same time, when your starting quarterback comes back and is able to play, you have to put him in, especially in the situation we're in.

[With rookie Kyle Orton at quarterback, establishing the run] would be huge for us, ... You put that eighth man in the box. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. Kyle can go out there and play catch all day.

We could feel the energy. It was a great thing having Kyle there, and our kids fed of Kyle being there.

[Hendrick's son, Ricky, killed in a plane wreck last year, had worked closely with Busch.] Ricky had so much confidence in Kyle and the structure of the two teams, and to see the two cars run like that, and Kyle to win, and become the youngest guy.... ... Kyle has done a super job. He got a lot of criticism early on that he was too young. But I'm just really proud.

That was his best score this season. I was very pleased with the way Kyle played. He is capable of playing that well or even better every time he plays. It's kind of a breakthrough for him this year and I hope he continues to play well. The rest of the team didn't play up to expectations and I'm sure they will all improve.

This was a good match for Kyle. We knew it was going to be a tough one. Kyle gave up the takedown early but he wrestled tough after that. He's focused. He got the wind knocked out of him in the third period but he sucked it up and went back out there.

Steve Kurzinger

uses (Kyle) as an inspiration. He says when he thinks about Kyle, 'I haven't got any problems.' Kyle is an inspiration to people, but he may not know it.

Wayne Newton (1942-)

I'm still behind him, but he knows what he has to do, and he knows what he shouldn't do. Kyle is playing hard just like everybody else, but in certain situations, you've got to know what's going on. He showed flashes, but it's got to be consistent. There's no more really you can say other than that.

I wish all the great things for Kyle. He's a friend, but I'm working my tail off to play too.
