He's special. I didn't realize it until I played with him. The guy makes plays. If there's a fumble, he picks it up and scores. If there's a tipped ball, he's there to intercept it. He's just there.

The thing that I saw was two or three of our guys had a chance at intercepting the ball, but they didn't do it. I don't know if they ran into each other or if they tipped the ball, but we didn't knock the pass down or intercept it.

We'd move the ball and then have a breakdown like a big play and then a fumble. We had a couple of picks a couple at the end when we had to throw. But really only one before that on a tipped pass, but it was fumbles and penalties that killed us.

You can really tell when she scores and when she makes defensive plays, when she makes stops and blocks shots, how much that picks up the energy on the team.

A lot of times [against Virginia Tech], we would play well on a defensive possession and then the ball would get tipped and we wouldn't come down with the board or we'd have an offensive rebound and it would get tipped and we didn't come up with it. I don't know how good Winter Springs is, but it concerns me that Mainland is getting touchdowns from special teams and defense. If we fumble like we did tonight, (Mainland's) Tony Wilson picks it up and runs it back and it's already 7-0.

It's a lot easier to hit one of our own targets on a test range than it is for them to actually intercept nuclear- tipped missiles in a combat environment.

We made plays. That's the difference from last week; we made plays. And we got the ball into the hands of the kids who can make plays. And we had three huge ones. We had the long pass to Josh, then he had the great catch right before half. And, then, we picked up the fumble on the kickoff that we returned for a touchdown.

I was on the ground and all twisted up. They were pulling the ball away from me and all yelling ?fumble, fumble.' But, my butt was already on the ground. I knew that it wasn't a fumble.

He plays the way it's supposed to be played. He has a swagger and confidence that makes him special.

They are starting to play better. The quarterback really played well. He makes some plays for them. He scrambles and they run the ball with him. He makes good throws and he makes good decisions.

I knew there were going to be some low scores today. Ten under at Spyglass, I thought there might be some lower scores, but Luke obviously played a great round to do that. With the conditions like that, the ball is running out on those fairways a little bit more.

Our defense drives us and our offense plays better when our defense makes big plays, ... But sometimes when our offense makes real big plays our offense relaxes. But Chase is doing a great job settling in and running this offense. Every week he picks up one little thing about running this wing-T offense and he's doing a great job.

We just played them a month ago. We beat them 10-3 and we had to intercept the ball on the 1-yard line to do it. If there's a letdown this week then we'll pay for it. I don't expect that to happen.

Nick has played well, ... He was real conservative in the early going, which is to be expected, but he has played steadily and has improved nicely. He caused one fumble in the last ballgame and got his hands on a couple of balls. His sure tackling ability has really helped on us on the back end, preventing big plays.
