While 2006 is likely to be a positive year for the Oklahoma economy due to an improving telecommunications sector and expansions in business service firms, the closing of GM operations in Oklahoma City will produce some fairly negative economic consequences.

Both Oklahoma and Dell will win big from this business relationship. Our state gains good jobs and a global business leader renown for making technology easier to use and more affordable, and Dell gets a great home with a wonderful supporting cast of highly skilled employees. It's a win-win for everyone.

I want to give the small businesses and local merchants better business strategies by teaching their workers how to improve customer service and promote a positive image in the workplace. By having the luncheon business owners and their employees won't lose a whole day of work.
