When the computers came in and took over, things got much cheaper. In the old days, dedicated video equipment was very expensive. Today the entry point is much lower. I would never buy anything I couldn't pay for in two years, because it becomes obsolete.

It's all a question of mass production and as more and more computers are produced of course certain parts are going to be cheaper and cheaper to produce.
