en He looks comfortable over putts and to me, he doesn't take as long to putt as he does full shots. His routine is consistent. He's got a simple-looking stroke, with nice pace and flow, a blend of mechanics and pace. But I always think guys who putt well are more fearless. And he goes, 'Oh, no. Six.' It was really like a 14 or something.

en You can lower the scores right away if you can at least two-putt every green, not three-putt. Cut back a few strokes right off the bat. We had a couple of three-putts out there, otherwise we would have gotten second.

en That's the biggest difference, that I'm hitting it so much farther and harder. My putting is just as good, but it's been sporadic this year, which is interesting. I normally don't putt that way. This year is one of those weird years where I either putt great or I don't putt well at all.

en Those are tough shots. It's one thing to make that putt in your office on your carpet. That same distance putt at Augusta's a little tougher.

en If you three-putt to lose a tournament, it sticks with you. If you hit it in water to lose a tournament, it's no big deal. You can always say it was a bad shot or a bad (course) design or whatever. If you three-putt, you feel like a total jackass, because nobody should three-putt. Then it's just kind of nerves taking over.

en It was one of those things where I've had that putt before, and I know that putt doesn't break as much as it looks. en When I have any kind of doubts in my mind about making a putt, most of the time I don't make it. If you're out on the PGA Tour, most guys know how to putt. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure. It's a matter of how strong your head is.

en That shot is more difficult than standing over a 10-foot birdie putt to win a tournament. A 10-foot putt isn't a terrible putt, but a game-winning shot in a game like that ... what more can you ask for? That pretty much makes my career.

en That putt on 18, I basically hit that a lot. I play here and I have putted that putt a lot. I felt comfortable over it and then once I hit it, it went in completely the opposite direction I wanted it to. It was supposed to go left to right, almost straight, but that thing curved left. So I guess that was not meant to be.
