We need to let the troops know, no matter what our political views, that we know they are fighting for our freedom.

They are there fighting for us and for freedom. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. I think we should support any involvement our troops have.

There are many other people who believe the same way. It's a matter of freedom of religion, equality, freedom of political opinion.

We want to get the kids thinking about what's going on over there and support the troops. We want them to realize that people who are just five or six years older than them are fighting for their freedom.

We are not including messages with political commentary -- pro or con. Frankly, this a site to support the troops and thankfully, our men and women in the military volunteer to defend our country no matter who is in political office.

While we have supported the Rainbow Coalition's work on diversity issues, we do not endorse many of Rev. Jackson's political views or any other political views.

We are very concerned about having troops in one of the most difficult provinces of Afghanistan. We would then have troops that are both peace-building and fighting and that is confusing. For the people living there it would not be clear when they deal with a Dutch soldier whether they are dealing with a peacemaker or a fighting soldier and that is a dangerous thing.

It's a cause that is worth fighting, it's a noble and historic cause, ... And it's one in which our troops understand the importance of the mission. While these personal sacrifices are tremendous, the consequences of not acting for freedom and for liberty are certainly far greater.

The terrorists are fighting freedom with all their cunning and cruelty because freedom is their greatest fear - and they should be afraid, because freedom is on the march.

No matter what your ideals are, our sons and daughters are fighting for our freedom. We are making a mockery out of this. And we need to stand united, but we are not.

It is not helpful to have those kind of comments come out when we've got troops in combat, because, first of all, they're false, they're absolutely wrong, they bear no resemblance to the truth, and it's just harmful to our troops that are out there fighting very bravely, very courageously,

If a judge has strong political views, it is perfectly appropriate to inquire whether those views would affect their legal reasoning and cause them not to be objective and fair.

The Freedom Center stands for what was attacked that day here and around the world. The idea that we are going to allow the Freedom Center to get hijacked from the political right or from the political left is something that none of us will stand for.

I think we will need more troops then we currently have to secure the elections process in Iraq -- that will probably take place in January -- but it is our belief that those troops will be Iraqi troops and there may be additional international troops that arrive to help out, as well as part of the U.N. mission. So I don't see need for more American troops, but we can't discount it.

Now that our troops are mired in a dangerous effort to defeat the insurgency and are also trying to help rebuild the country, Americans of all political persuasions simply want the United States to succeed and our troops to be as safe as possible.
